After Halloween is over, a lot of us go into a post-halloween depression stage. It starts off with just feeling sad, then you start crying when taking down your decorations and end up shoving all your leftover Halloween candy down your throat while watching old Addams Family episodes, trying not to think about Christmas. Even though Halloween is over, that doesn’t mean you have to stop celebrating it. “Halloween is a lifestyle, not a holiday”, Remember?
You Don’t Have to Take Down Everything
Celebrate the Halloween Lifestyle all year round! You can choose to just keep up your decorations, but I keep up decorations that can work after Halloween. Anything that says “trick-or-treat” or “Happy Halloween!” I tend to put away, but I keep up my normal decorations.
Go Clearance Shopping!
After Halloween, go to the store and go crazy! There is so much stuff and it’s all normally 50% off! Now, that’s a few days after, it’s all marked down to 75%. If you can wait even longer, after a week it’s normally marked down to 90% off! You may want to just go ahead and take the day off, haha. Check out all the stores not just one! Walmart, Target, Michaels, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Walgreens and so many other places! You can stock up on Halloween stuff for the whole year!
Join A Facebook Group!
Facebook is a great resource to meet people who are interested in the same spooky things you are! There are groups for Halloween lovers, haunted house owners, and so much more. I’m apart of a group called ‘Haunters Hangout’ and I love it! There are is quite a lot of people apart of the group. It’s a very active and welcoming group and is probably one of the only reasons why I use Facebook!
Start Planning for Next Year
Next year will be here before you know it! Think about things that worked and didn’t work and make next year even better. Try something different! Go on Pinterest and start your board for 2016!
Watch YouTube Videos!
Go to youtube and watch people’s haunted house walk-through, decoration videos or hauls! There are so many videos that you can watch! I enjoy watching these to see what people got and what they did. Also, I find items at stores that people have bought and I didn’t know they had! It’s a great way to find new ideas or items, even!
